Kinethesia

Kinethesia is an open source framework for wearable computing. It consists of a framework for the design of wearable devices and a communication framework for the sending and receiving of data over any medium between the platform, local/remote sensors and peripheral devices

It’s design is to be as flexible as possible in supporting new devices and sensory extensions and in the way it takes both input from and presents data to the wearable user. Sensors can be of any type, environmental, medical or informational. Inputs to the user can be audio, tactile or visual. The platform exists to translate the experience between these inputs and outputs.

In this manner it endeavours to be the simplest and most open manner for extending ones sensory perception, situational awareness and experience of the world.
